From these documents it looks like Dragon Data was registered via an 'off the shelf' company.  This is where a 'blank' company is registered with companies house, in this case by solicitors. This allows a company to be registered very quickly and easily as it will basically just need a name change.

There have been rumors that Dragon was spawned out of a data processing company, this seems partially true as it was spawned from a different company 'Staple Securities Ltd.' but it is very highly likely that 'Staple...' was company created, just to sell on.

It's interesting that Dragon Data only officially became a company on the 30th November 1982, right at the last minute, just as the Dragon 32 was launching.
