As mettoy the parent company of Dragon data had no real experience in micro-electronics, the design and prototyping of the Dragon was farmed out to Cambridge company 'PA Consulting', their name for this project was 'Pippin'. Apart from a few minor revisions the boards looks very similar to the very early Dragon 32's.
